Built from a stretchy, spandex-like material instead of squirmy rubber, it maintains its shape, moves naturally in the water, and holds up to more fish. If anyone calls it a junk fly, just tell them you’re fishing a deoxyribonucleic acid pattern that imitates Lumbricus terrestris and watch them nod like they understand.

We like the beadless DNA Worm because it keeps things simple and effective. It moves well without feeling flashy, and the slower sink rate makes it ideal for shallow riffles, drop-offs, or picky trout in softer water. It holds up to multiple fish and fishes well year-round.

How to fish:

Drift it under a dry fly or indicator in slow seams, pockets, or shallow water where a beaded version might drop too fast. It’s especially effective during runoff, after rain, or whenever natural worms are likely to get dislodged and drift into the current.
