What we like about this fly:

We like The Golden Gun because it is packed with everything fish love. The rubber legs move even in soft current, adding just enough animation without making the fly feel overbuilt. Its clean, slim profile lets it get down fast and pairs easily with brighter attractors or classic nymphs. While not tied to match a specific hatch, it does a convincing job of mimicking small stoneflies or larger mayfly nymphs, making it the kind of pattern that quietly earns a permanent spot in the box.

How to fish:

The Golden Gun performs well under an indicator or as part of a dry-dropper setup. It's particularly effective in riffles, seams, and runs where trout are feeding near the bottom.
